Content Templates built with Beaver Builder 2.0 are not rendered properly.

Resolved

Reported for: Toolset Views 2.5.1

Resolved in: Toolset Views 2.5.2

Symptoms

When the new version of Beaver Builder (>= 2.0) is used to build a Content Template, the posts assigned to that Content Tempalte are not rendered properly and the Beaver Builder styling is missing.

Workaround

This issue will be fixed in the next version of Toolset Views.

In the meantime, this patch can be applied by unzipping it and uploading the files it contains to replace the ones with the same name. The files are:

  • frontend.php in /vendor/toolset/toolset-common/user-editors/editor/screen/beaver

Also, if you have another Toolset plugin installed, you might need to replace those same files in the exact same locations.

    • Hello.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Could you please open a new ticket on the support forums, containing a detailed description of the issue you are facing in order to further investigate this?

      Regards

  • @Alex, please make sure that you have applied the patch also in Types and Layouts if they are active.
In Types, you can find the file in ..\types\vendor\toolset\toolset-common\user-editors\editor\screen\beaver

  • Hi,

I have updated to the latest BB 2.0 and the latest Types and views and now the templates have stopped working once again!!!

    Why does this keep happening?

    • Hello Alex

Thank you for reaching out to us.

BB 2.0 introduced some incompatibilities, so our plugins needed a few adjustments.

If you are using Views 2.5.1 and Types 2.2.21, then your CTs should render properly on the frontend.

On the ticket, you created here, I can see that you are having issues with the BB template editing on the admin side of your site. If this is true, please work with the supporter to either find a solution or asking him to escalate this issue to the developers.

      Regards

  • Hi folks — Just wanted to say I tried this workaround — replaced the frontend.php file in Views, Types and CRED — and also went thru and re-saved the layouts in beaver, but no luck. Have to revert to pre-2.0 beaver for right now to keep the site looking good. Hope you are able to resolve this universally in a formal patch very soon! Really hate telling our clients “don’t update this it might break…”
