I created new taxonomy and assigned it to events custom post type. It is showing in dashboard that taxonomy as been assigned to events post type but I am unable to access the events categories taxonomy from admin menu. When I try to edit taxonomy, I dont see any options there to assign to any post type or anything. I initially thought it must be issue with theme I am using or some plugin. So, I created a new WordPress installation and added only toolset plugin, still facing the same issue.

Hello,

The problem is abnormal, I have tried the FTP accessyou provided above, but get this error:
530 Login authentication failed

Please provide a copy of your website, I need to duplicate the same problem and debug it in my localhost. thanks
https://toolset.com/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/

It should be a server problem, so we don't need the duplicator package, please fix the FTP access problem, we need to debug it in your website, thanks

Sorry for the mistake. Please use user name as "toolset@iamf.in" instead of just "toolset" it should work.

I did try on different domain hosted on same server but didnt work.

Sasank

Luo, any luck? were you able to debug the problem?

#952025

Thanks for the details, I can see the problem in your website, and I have escalated this thread to our 2nd tier supporters, please keep the test site for debug, hope they can find the problem, and I will update this thread if there is anything news.

Thanks Luo.

One thing I just observed is, when I edit the taxonomy I am unable to toggle screen options, help, taxonomy type meta box or rearrange (drag drop). It seems there is some JS conflict but I am unable to see any error in console.

#952032

Yes, you are right, I have already see that problem, and no JS errors. but there isn't similar problem in other website, for example:
hidden link
user/pass: xgren/111111

I am able to toggle screen options in above test site.

It should be a server problem of your website, can you test the same installation in another website?

#952034

Like I said before I did try on different installations on different domains (4 infact) and getting the same error. But the JS issue seems to be only on edit taxonomy page. The installation you are currently looking into is fresh, just installed toolset nothing else.

Yes I did see it works fine on discover-wp.com which is why I was confused and posted here.....

#952035

Can y test same wordpress installation in another web server OR another web server provider?

#952036

Unfortunately, I dont access to any other server.

#952039

OK, as I mentioned above: this should be a server problem, and I have escalated:

I will update this thread if there is anything news.

Hi, I tried to spot the issue on the server, as well our Server Admin had a look.
We could not spot anything.

You seem to experience the same issue as this user:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/custom-taxonomy-form-not-working-properly/

This is why we will dig into this to be sure that there is nothing left missing on our end.
Usually, Server issues cannot be solved by us, but it seems here that some very specific settings may provoke this.

So we need to know if this is a problem of the servers, or of Toolset.

Since the issue cannot be replicated locally on any of our Servers, or on Discover Sites, this seems to be a particular Server problem shared by the servers you both use.

They are different (settings) of each server. But - it may be that both do not support certain things, or have some single settings in common that break Toolset.

To know this, since we cannot replicate this locally, we need to know more about your servers, settings and site setup.

As well I would like to invite you to use MAMP or WAMP (they are free) to test the issue locally on your machine.
It should show immediately the issue gone.

The information I will need from you is:
- Who administrates or provide the Server? Is it company we can reach, or something else?
- Can you confirm, that each of these points is supported:
https://toolset.com/toolset-requirements/
- Can you please prepare a PHP Info as outlined here:
https://toolset.com/toolset-requirements/ > https://toolset.com/toolset-requirements/
Then, share that URL with me

Thank you!

Beda,

The website is hosted on a VPS and I have full access to it. So, you can let me know if anything needs to be changed or updated.

WordPress 4.9.7
PHP Version 7.0.30
MySQL Version 5.7.22
VPS with 2gb RAM

here is the PHP info link hidden link

#952237

Yes, as I suspected, for example, mbstring (multybite string extension) is disabled, right?
hidden link > multibyte

Please check my previous reply, as I outlined the requirements.

Can you confirm that enabling the required things solves the issue?
