Hello,
I would like to know the correct conditional rule to show, in post editor page, a Types custom post field (that I made), ONLY if featured image was set.
I can add rules based on other Types field easily, but I need help in this case, since WP fields are not showed in the dropdown selection.
Thank you
Dear Sanny,
As our document mentioned:
When you are editing content that has Post Fields, some fields should be displayed conditionally.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/types-custom-fields-conditional-display/
It works only on the conditions on custom post fields, but not works for the feature image field.
I your case, I suggest you create another custom image field, then follow above document to setup your custom conditions on the image fields.
Oh ok. I thought the Advanced text mode was meant to be used for more complex stuff and other fields.. you confirm that even that, is only for Types fields?
Using custom js added to the editor page itself should work though.
Do you maybe have already a snippet I could adapt to this, by any chance?
eg. https://toolset.com/forums/topic/evaluate-wpv-featured-image-is-not-empty/ or https://toolset.com/forums/topic/conditional-field-required-when-visible/
this thread is using [wpv-if] shortcode to check the feature image in front-end, but you need it in admin side.
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/evaluate-wpv-featured-image-is-not-empty/
The another thread:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/conditional-field-required-when-visible/
Which is using CRED form, I don't think it is what you need, if you are going to do it with custom JS codes, it needs custom codes, which is out the range or our support range:
https://toolset.com/toolset-support-policy/
I suggest you check out our certified partners for it:

I know it's not for Types, that's why I asked if there was a similar way, without using a custom solution.
It would be great if we didnt have to pay a third party from now on, for every request of help on how to use your plugin.
Thank you anyway.
Hi Sanny,
This is Mohammed from Toolset second tier support.
I've checked the thread and I see that may be adding the support for standard post fields in the custom conditions will solve your issue.
To be honest, I'm not authorized to promise you to implement such a feature.
But if you agree, I can escalate this ticket to out development team leader who can discuss this with you and take the appropriate decision accordingly.
I'm waiting for your reply.
Thanks and regards.
