Please tell me there is a way to search the authors themselves

So after advice from your team I created a custom author.php page to display authors profiles. But now I want to search for those profiles but views says search can only work with posts. Please tell me there is a way around this.

Actually no there isn't as you can only create searches for views using POSTS.

Is it that you want to search through your users?
