Hi,

I'm setting up a new site to sell a course using the Learndash plugin (which is completely new to me).
I want to offer two versions for sale - the course by itself, and an upgraded version - the course plus access to a bbPress forum.
Learndash suggest that Easy Digital Downloads is their preferred plugin for handling products/payments etc, although it also plays nice with WooCommerce, apparently.

The idea is to create the two "products" in EDD. One for the course only, and one which grants the user access to the course plus the forum.

Learndash have suggested that some sort of membership plugin is necessary to do this, but as I already have Toolset, I wondered if this is something I can do with Access? (which I've got, but never used!)

Grateful for your ideas and direction.
thanks

Hi Alan,

Thanks for contacting out support.

Our access plugin is able to restrict usage to various CPT.

To check if access is able to manage the permissions for this just go to the Access settings on your dashboard.

If you are able to see the Post types being generated by learndash then you Access is able to restrict usage.

I'm not able to test this as learndash is a paid plugin.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

Yes, I can see the various elements of Learndash under the Access settings - Courses / Lessons / Quizzes / Certificates.
So I guess this is good news! I will need to experiment....
thank you.
