I've added an image field and am able to upload an image using a front end form. My questions is when I view the edit form, it shows the current image and a choose file button, but there us no way i can see to just delete the existing image. Only options are to leave current image or upload a new one. How to delete image on front end form? Plugins are all latest version as is wordpress.
which particular edit form are we talking about? Is this about your CRED form, a View or something else?
Could you please attach some screenshots? This would be really helpful.
Dear jonH-2,
thank you for the screen shots. Now it's clear.
In your admin, just delete the image URL and save your post.
In the front-end, I would advise you to do the same but I now wonder why your image looks different from mine. See file attached. Are you using the latest versions of Toolset plugins?
Mine is exactly like yours now, thank you. Originally i used featured image, then replaced that with image field, but forgot to update my edit and delete forms. All set now, thank you.
I was wondering the same thing, and read your post that I can just highlight and remove the url and hit save.
But I'm worried my site visitors updating their posts won't know to do that. Is there some function with jquery where it could add a "Reset Image" or "Delete Image" button where it would just clear the url out, with one click for them?
And just to clarify, I'm talking about in the same admin cpt area that johnH-2 was referring to (not CRED).
