Dynamically choose which user to edit
Started by: Valeriia
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The issue here is that the customer wanted admins to be able to edit other users through the frontend. Solution: This is actually possible by providing the id of the user to edit. Example [cred_user_form form='1519' form_name='Edit User' post='5'] Where the post value is the user id, so changing the number will determine which user is to be edited. Combining this concept with the link version and a view loop to display users you can allow admins to edit all the users on the site. So we would have a link version for a CRED form like this [cred_link_user_form form='1519' form_name='Edit User' post='1' text='Edit %TITLE%' target='_self'] To modify this for use in a loop you simple need to replace the post=1 with the user id shortcode you just use this shortcode [wpv-user field="ID"] The final code would be [cred_link_user_form form='1519' form_name='Edit User' post='[wpv-user field="ID"]' text='Edit %TITLE%' target='_self'] |

Registration form not sending email notifications
Started by: Valeriia
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The problem here is that CRED isn't sending out the notifications through a specific email field provided in the form, however the test emails gets sent. Solution: This is an indication to me that the email custom field might be empty so you will need to check if an email is actually being provided for CRED to send off the mails. |

Hide registration form after submittion
Started by: Valeriia
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The issue here is that the user wants to hide their CRED form and display a message after it has been submitted. Solution: CRED actually has a built in setting for this. All you need to do is to go and edit your form and under the section "Choose what to do after visitors submit the form" you can choose an action to do after a form submission. |

Create pairs of custom fields (title->value)
Started by: Valeriia
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The customer asked about possibility to define field which should contain a collection of pairs of values. Solution: I suggested creating new child post which should have two fields. After that, it is possible to set it as child post of the main post. However, this solution allows to create required structure, but the approach is not enough convenience for the client. For this reason, she decided to use Piklist. |
