Divi 3 and Toolset work OK together and allow to integrate Toolset elements into Divi. The Divi 4 release has many compatibility issues with Toolset. We recommend to clients to keep existing sites using Divi 3.
I need to add a front-end filter for the archive page of a new post type, but I don't have the regular post fields as an option in the filters I can add. I'm in the Filter Editor and need to add a drop-down for users to select which author they would like to see posts from to narrow down results in the list. This should refer to the WordPress user/author already built-in.

There isn't such a built-in feature within Views plugin, if you agree, we can take it as a feature request.
