Error : A WordPress Archive page should be used to display this layout
Started by: Eugene Marquess
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: After updating to the latest versions of Toolset plugins, I see an error on my site:
Solution: This error indicates that a WordPress Archive cell is being used in a Layout that is not applied to a WordPress Archive page. You must recreate this WordPress Archive as a View. You may reuse the same Content Templates if you used any in the Archive. You may copy + paste the code from your Loop Output Editor as well. The main difference is that instead of selecting a Loop Type, you must select what you want the View to display. This will probably be your post type. Set any filters you would like to include, like a specific category or author. Then replace the WordPress Archive cell in your Layout with a View cell containing your new View. Layout preventing page edit
Started by: Eugene Marquess
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: The problem here is that when a page is assigned to a layout, you are unable to edit the page content itself from the edit page. This error is also displayed: "The content editor is not displayed because LMI layout layout does not include any shortcodes or cells that display post content." Solution: The problem here strongly suggests that you do not have the [wpv-post-body] shortcode in the content template of your layout. If this shortcode is not present then you won't be able to edit the content of your post because there isn't a way to output the content unless you add the [wpv-post-body] shortcode to the content template of your layout. |

Problem: Posts inside Taxonomy are not present in the counter. Solution: Please make sure that your posts are set to "Public", as private posts are not counted by WordPress. |

Can Access restrict my Posts to Subscribers only ?
Started by: Eugene Marquess
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: Solution: Access is dependent on lower roles. You need to use wpv-conditional instead. A example conditional to show the Post Title in a View Loop only if the User (current) NOT [your-roles] is below: [wpv-conditional if="( '[wpv-current-user info='role']' ne 'subscriber' ) AND ( '[wpv-current-user info='role']' ne 'guest' )"] [wpv-post-title] [/wpv-conditional] Works only with Views. How to display Categories & Subcategories filter
Started by: Eugene Marquess
in: Toolset Professional Support
Problem: Solution: The Filter would be set to display as example the Taxonomies as a "CheckBoxes" filter. Then you insert any content in the Loop Editor of the View that you want to display when you select a creation Taxonomy term from the List (Filter) After, you insert the crated View in the Widget zone (sidebar) you want, by using the WP Views Filter Widget. You will then also insert the View Results (layout) in a Page, which will be the landing page once you select a certain Taxonomy Term from the List in the Sidebar. You can also include the Widget in a Layout, if you prefer. Relevant Documentation: |
