Get image ID from custom field
Started by: Lefteris

Problem: I would like to get the Media Post ID of an image that was added as a custom field. Solution: It's not very straightforward because Types only stores the URL of the image - not its attachment post ID - in postmeta. In order to determine that attachment post ID, you have to query the database and find the post with a guid that matches the image URL. That would require a custom shortcode. You'll need to pass the URL of the image into your custom shortcode. You can access the custom field value using the standard wpv-post-field shortcode: [wpv-post-field name='wpcf-your-image-field-slug'] Be sure to include the 'wpcf-' prefix here, as it is required. Conditional output language

Problem: I would like to display different shortcodes depending on the current language. Solution: Use the wpml-string shortcode to translate text content, including shortcodes, using String Translation. For instance: [wpml-string context="my-string-context"] English version: [wpv-post-title] [/wpml-string] Then in String Translation, you can find the string under the context "my-string-context" and translate it into other languages. You can use different shortcodes in those translations, like this: Version Française: [wpv-post-type] Relevant Documentation: https://toolset.com/documentation/translating-sites-built-with-toolset/wpml-string-shortcode/ |

Avada attributes on custom post type
Started by: Lefteris

Problem: I am using Layouts and Avada. I would like to use a full-width template for my custom post type, but the template selector is not available in Post Attributes. Solution: Using the Layout Editor, click "Edit Row" next to any row you want to be full width. You will be presented with an option to make your cells extend to fill the screen. This option will allow you to create a full-width page design. Relevant Documentation: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/learn-how-rows-can-displayed-different-ways/ |
