I am trying to: use wp fastest cache plugin on my toolset site, to improve performance
(this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fastest-cache/)

I visited this URL: (any URL, pages, posts, ...)

I expected to see: faster loading times AND a cache-header (as with other sites)

Instead, I got: nothing gets cached, there are no cache headers (even when I'm not logged in and on static pages), the site remains slow

(I use toolset starter theme)

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Not sure why this is so but we have a few instruction on how to speed things up.
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/how-to-use-views-parametric-search-on-large-sites/

Also I would recommend that you use this plugin below.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

Hi,

https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ was installed but is giving still slow results.
WPFC is much faster caching plugin but isn't compatible?

Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Hope this helps.

I disabled all non-toolset plugins except for WooCommerce but site is still very slow and still every link is appended with a strange ?v=... query-parameter (eg. /about/?v=95a58e619945).

Thanks for helping me!

Hello,

Thank you for the credentials.

I took a look at the site and it's running pretty quick to me.

Also the url parameter issue I noticed but I can assure you that this is not related to our Views plugins so i'm not able to provide much information on that.

Thanks,
Shane

The site is slow for me. It takes about 5 to 7 seconds per page load. And I have fast internet and a fast computer. A page should load in less than 1 or at the most 2 seconds I think.

Is is possible that the caching doesn't work because I use conditional output on every page to check for the user login?

Hello,

I've recorded a video of the loading speed of the website on my end and it seems normal to me.

Let me know if this is the same for you because i'm not observing any slow issues.

Thanks,
Shane

In your video it takes 5 to 6 seconds for each page load. That's not normal, is it?
Normally a site should load in <2 seconds otherwise visitors leave.

I turned WP Fastest Cache on back again, it helps a little. Maybe you have other ideas to increase speed?

I also found the ?v url parameter issue here: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/204937/why-v-hash-is-added-to-my-urls

Hello,

What I can do is to check this with my team as i'm not able to notice any out of the norm slow downs on your website.

Also could you provide me access to the server, the website seems to be password protected now.

I'll enable the private fields once more.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

What I would recommend that you do is to open a new thread for this issue as we have not yet resolved the first one 🙁

This will help to keep things organized.

Thanks,
Shane
