[Resolved] “We could not connect to the Google Maps autocomplete service”

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Error message above the custom address field:
"We could not connect to the Google Maps autocomplete service, but you can add an address manually."

Solution:
Regenerating API key and enabling Google Places API Web Service solved the problem

Hello, I've created CPT with custom address field and it worked just fine last week but now I get this error message above the field:
"We could not connect to the Google Maps autocomplete service, but you can add an address manually."

Map that I created with Views seems to be working OK so Google Maps API key I used should be working correctly.

Any idea what causes this problem?
