[Resolved] Using custom roles, not levels, when?

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Using custom roles, not levels.

As you know, Access is almost useless without been able to use non-hierachycal roles.
Any idea when will this be implemented on Access? Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, this all is already in our to-do list and in our internal tracking system In fact, Access uses a mixed schema of roles and levels, which means that, in fairness, we use levels only as a guide of what user roles shoudl be granted to a custom role by default, and a couple of other things. But as you point out, we should be moving to a capabilities-only model.

This is already in our roadmap, but until we can focus on that and define a realistic timeframe to complete it, I can not tell you how or when this will be completed.
