Trying to limit a CPT (Profile) to only be viewable by its author + roles

I am using a CPT for user profiles.

I'd like to limit viewing this CPT only to itss author, or Administrator/Editor. I thought I'd find a solution using Access but so far no luck. I also tried searching through the previous tickets but no luck there so far either

What's the best and surest way to make a CPT only viewable by its author? At the query level?

I'm using Gutenberg and Toolset Blocks, if it makes a difference. First time..
