I am trying to:
Set up a Filter in a View to show dates from today onward.
I set my custom field DATE is greater than or equal to TODAY
they all disappear.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link
I expected to see:
All dated items in order
( I don't have any expired dates yet)

Instead, I got:
When I set the filter they all disappeared.

Hi Jon,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

This should actually be possible.

Would you mind providing me with admin access to the website so that I can have a more detailed look.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Jon,

Could you let me know which view I should be looking at ? Also is it the publish date you are using to tell if the post should display or not ?

Please let me know.

Thanks
Shane

Hi Shane -
it would be View 8072, Fields for Upcoming Events.

We have a "Date" custom post field active in the Upcoming Events CPT layout (8070). It won't be displayed on site, but will be used to sort and expire (hopefully) the Upcoming Event CPT, via a Filter, hopefully.

We have Expire Post plugin installed as a backup solution, but I'd rather do it this way - simpler for the client.

The date field is active in the Upcoming Events field group.

Hi Jon,

I've added the filter to the view and it should now start listing the posts in the future.

Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Shane

? I don't see a filter set on the view in question...
The layout in question is Conferences Page
The view is Upcoming Loop View -
Don't see a filter in there.
You put one in? Where?

#574334

Oh, I see where it is... it's in the layout that feeds the individual upcoming event pages.
I think I gave you wrong information! My apologies.

We need it active on the Upcoming Events Loop view (8080) on the Conferences page layout (8989)

The Upcoming Event page is for single items - there's no loop on there, just custom fields that need no sorting.
The loop that needs the filter is as described in this reply.

The view where your filter is set up is unused..the Upcoming single event layout uses the visual editor to show the custom fields.
