Hi Paul

You almost certainly have JavaScript errors on the page, probably caused by a conflict with another plugin or theme.

Check you browser console for errors, which may give you a clue about where the conflict is coming from.

In any case, try switching to a standard theme such as twentyseventeen then re-test, and try disabling all non-Toolset plugins and re-test.

If the latter resolves the issue then re-enabling the plugins one at a time (or in batches) should make it possible to identify where a conflict is coming from.

Please let me know how that goes so I can see how to proceed.

I dug deeper into the VPS host logs and the issue was with the php-mbstring module not being installed.

So the fix for this issue is to install the php-mbstring module on the server.

I had tried everything suggested already as well as placing a clean vanilla WP install with just toolset Types.
