[Resolved] The between searches are not working

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user's Parametric search was not working correctly.
Solution:
In a case like this I would recommend that you remove all the filters and try again to re-add them. This should resolve most issues where a filter isn't working.

Hi Paul,

I actually have good news and bad news.

So the good news is that the site works fine. The bad news is that the search view that you created, it seems as if something is wrong with it.

What I did on my end was to create a small test view to see what would happen and this view works.

I would recommend re-creating the view completely with minimum setup. Then test the view and only after it works then you can start re-adding your customisations.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane I took your advice to delete the view then start again but now the console for searching that I have simplified does not evern show? See attached screenshot hidden link

And then when visiting the page have this error Notice
: Trying to get property of non-object in
/home/mpex/tiltrak.com/public/webdev/wp-content/plugins/toolset-classifieds/inc/message_system.class.php
on line
368

I've switched off the plugin -still no search console.So redownloaded the plugin and added new version and the error above just returned on page.

cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

It was the weekends so the forum is actually inactive at that time, however I can have a look now.

Could you provide me with the login for this site?

The one you initially provided was for a different site.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Paul,

The search works fine from what i've tested.

It seems the issue is being caused by the toolset classifieds plugin when it comes to the Notice appearing.

When did this issue started to occur ?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane the issue first appeared yesterday however it could be historic. I switched on the php debug function with the wp-config file in WordPress then when I rebuilt the new search console yesterday noticed that the search console was not even present on screen just the 'classifieds' plugin error. I tried to fix by redownloading the plugin and replacing on the server but nothing resolved the situation cheers Paul

Hi Paul,

I see, I figured it was something like that.

Actually this is just a notice so it wouldn't have any adverse effect on your website. To remove the message just disable the debugging and it should be gone.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane I can now see the search console interface filters however they don't appear to be working if you selected the years from 2018 to 2011 for example no cars show. And even you conduct any other searches no cars display in the results. cheers Paul

Hi Shane the search is still not working and never returns any results this error is still shown above the search console

Hi Paul,

It seems that there is something setting your view's visibility setting to hidden.

Could you add this to your theme's custom css file and let me know if it helps.

.js-wpv-view-layout{
      : visible !important;
}

Thanks,
Shane
