Random question marks keep autogenerating in fields. If I remove the block and recreate it, the issue is resolved for a short while and then reoccurs. This issue is present in both archive pages or other pages created using Gutenberg block editor and also when views are added in through elementor page builder. I don't know why only certain fields are affected by this and not others.

You can find one instance on the homepage: hidden link
and another on the books archive page with the question marks besides the 'year' field: hidden link

Mahmood

Hi Mahmood,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

I can see the issue of the random question marks on your website, but couldn't reproduce this on a test website.

To troubleshoot this, I'll suggest the following steps:

1. Please make sure that WordPress, active theme, and plugins are all updated to the latest versions.

2. It would be interesting to test this with all non-Toolset plugins disabled and a default theme like Twenty Twenty.

If it's fixed, you can start adding the disabled items, one-by-one, to narrow down to a possible conflicting one.

3. In case the issue still persists, I'll need a clone/snapshot of your website so that it can be investigated on a different server, without affecting the actual website.

Please let me know how it goes and I've set your next reply as private.

I think the issue is that the PHP Version I am running is 5.4.6. I probably need to update. Thank you so much for the help.

I am having the same issue - did upgrading your PHP solve the problem?

Hello Andrew,

Sorry for the delay, I did not notice your message. Yes, updating did solve the issue thankfully. It was a massive pain to go in and try to remove the question marks every time.. I haven't had the problem since updating, hope the same works for you.

Best,
Mahmood
