Solution: Update manually using plugins downloaded directly from toolset.com

This support ticket is created 5 years, 2 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Toolset Types and Access plugins are failing to update (Screen shot attached)

Hi, there was a problem in the installer included with Types 3.2.5. This has been resolved in the latest version of Types. Please download Types 3.2.6 from https://toolset.com/account/downloads, then deactivate and delete the current Types plugin from wp-admin. Install the new plugin manually from the zip file you downloaded, then go to wp-admin > Plugins > Add New > Commercial tab and click "Check for Updates" in the Toolset panel. This should resolve the problem so you can update other plugins automatically.

fast forward to December 2020 - Types 3.4.5 - same problem. If this was fixed in 3.2.6 shouldn't it stay fixed?
