I am trying to: improve performance of image slider within post.

I visited this URL: caravansalvageservices.co.uk

Dear Dat Hoang,
I used your code (from "Image Slider wthin a post") on my site and it works really good.
Is there a way to improve performance? (Should I use I different a slider or place the repeating images as child posts)

Best Regards

Johan

I guess you're talking about this ticket https://toolset.com/forums/topic/image-slider-within-a-post/#post-272455.

In terms of performance, using the repeated fields gives the better result. If using child posts, Views needs at least one more query to get child posts from your database.

However, using "images" as child posts gives you more flexible when adding custom fields for your images like: Source, Alternative text, Caption and etc.

That depends on your need.
