[Resolved] New Access Update causes site to crash

This support ticket is created 3 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I am trying to: update to latest Toolset Access Update (2.8.6)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: Plugin updated

Instead, I got: Critical Error (screenshot attached with view from WPMU hosting dashboard).. On chatting with WPMU support they said this was the error..

Looks like this is causing the issue, checking further.

[17-Jun-2020 02:21:12 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'Toolset_Post_Type_Exclude_List' not found in /var/web/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/types-access/application/controllers/permissions_post_types.php:209

And then we deleted the plugin and it was fine.. then I installed the older version.. 2.8.5.1 (screenshot attached) and it woks fine.. but again on updating the plugin to the latest version, the site crashed again.. so I reverted back to the older plugin..

This is known issue to us and few other users also reported the same issue.

We have reported the issue for further investigation to our next level support.

Our Devs shared the errata with the hotfix that will help you to fix the issue:

Can you please follow the instructions given with the above link and try to resolve your issue.

Toolset Access version 2.8.7 has been released that contain the hotfix for the issue.

Please update ALL Toolset plugins to latest version or you can download it from your account's download page:
