I am trying to:

Change Maps API key in the Toolset settings

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: a Google Map in the header

Instead, I got: nothing and a Javascript error "google is not defined"

Problem is quite urgent.

We have tried to :

- Deactivate all the plugins one by one
- Switch themes

Problem still is the same.

We should present the website tomorrow morning Paris time to our boss. It's just a disaster for us.

Of course, switching to the old working API key does not work anymore...

Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I will try to see how quickly I can resolve this one for you.

Could you let me know the API's you've enabled for the new and the previous key?

Also would it be possible for you to provide me with admin access to the website as well as the API key that you are trying to use ?

Thanks,
Shan

Hello,

Thank you for the credentials.

Ok so this one looks like a plugin conflict based on the detailed view of the JS error.

Would you mind temporarily disabling all the non-toolset plugins for this site and checking again to see if the issue remains?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi,

Sorry but I have no access to my computer after 7:00PM Paris time so it's not easy to move forward on this ticket.

As mentioned, I have tried to disable all the plugin one by one (except Toolset and WPML) without sucess.

Disabling all the plugins lead to a site crash.

I insist on the fact that the problem occurs after changing the Google API key so Toolset Maps certainly is at fault.

Cheers

Hello,

Thanks, I will check in some more details on this for you.

Should it be needed I will also be grabbing a copy of your site. Given that its a multi site i'm not able to install plugins.

Would it be possible to update the user account to a super user ? This way I can install the needed plugins to create the copy of the site.

Thanks,
Shane

It should also be noted that I tried both API keys and the result is still the same.

A JS error is not normally related to just the API key but other components as well so I will need to do a full check on the site.

As soon as you can please update my user account so that I can install plugins.

Hi,

I have just upgraded your account to Super Admin.

Please leave me 15mn to take a full backup of the site.

This is a pre-production website but a big project which is about to be launched... so important for the people working on it.

I use Toolset plugins on many projects and I should say that Maps is pretty unstable, specially when you change the API key during the project.

Hi

I was able to create the duplicator package for your site but i'm having some issues restoring the backup locally here for me to test.

Please keep the user account as a Super Admin until i'm able to confirm that I've setup the site backup successfully.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi,
The site is quite huge in terms of disk space.
Don't hesitate to contact me if I can be helpful.
Cheers.

Hello,

I was able to setup the copy here locally but its running quite slowly, so it can take some time before I post another response on this issue.

As soon as I'm able to I will let you know what is happening.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi ,

Is this site live? Or is it a copy of a live site?

The reason why im asking is because I would like to disable a few of your plugins for testing purposes to see if the error will go away.

I've tried using your Old site key but the issue still remains.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Shane
