I am trying to: Show a map which displays a marker on a Google map

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I can get the marker to show but not easily...

If I type in the postal address, the location comes up fine, but press update on the post and I get a Pacific Sea map on the resulting page. If I manually move/drag the marker (even slightly), this solves the problem. But why should I have to manually drag the marker every time?

Plus, this means I'll need another separate field for the postal address as this disappears and becomes co-ordinates instead (when the marker is dragged).
