[Resolved] Is it possible to trigger Types/Views/CRED export programatically?

This is the community support forum for Types plugin, which is part of Toolset. Toolset is a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients and people who registered for Types community support can post in it.

No supporters are available to work today on Toolset forum. Feel free to create tickets and we will handle it as soon as we are online. Thank you for your understanding.

Working with Toolset in a team is a bit of pain. It's not possible to version-control anything (including Views HTML) because everything is saved in the DB. In ACF, for instance, we have an automatic JSON export, Toolset has just a manual XML export.

Is it possible to trigger export and import programmatically? If it was possible then I could write a little plugin that would import version-controlled XML files. Still not a perfect solution, but it would improve a workflow a little.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

There is no native feature available to export/import Toolset plugins settings programmatically but we offer plugin Module manager to export/import Toolset plugin settings.

Please check following Doc for module manager plugin:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/using-toolset-module-manager/

Thanks, I know the Module Manager, but it's not what I'm looking for. I wanted to automate this process and trigger an export from PHP. It would be greate if Toolset has a similar feature like ACF has - automated export: hidden link

So let's convert this topic into a feature request, please.

Hi Lapala

Minesh is absent today but will return tomorrow, so I'll let him handle liaising with the developers about this request then.

Thanks for your patience.

I consult with our developer and we do have plans to include this feature but currently, we are more focused on Types relationship improvements. You will find this feature implemented with Types plugin in near future release.
