Thank you for contacting Toolset support. Have you installed Toolset Company Site demo?
Looks like it is not properly installed, please reset Website and Database from a previous installation and start over with a fresh installation of WordPress and an empty database.
To reset your Website and Database from a previous installation, you can use the reset feature under 'Toolset –> Settings –> Reset Demo Site'.
After that again import demo site and check how it works.
Well,
I don't understand what I have done (or not done)...? To begin with: I don't see a link 'Reset Demo site'. Next: I deleted the demo site and installed again. I also installed the 'Travel Destinations' site.
The result is: both sites are now in German. It drives me really crazy because I don't understand very much German (I am Dutch, but prefer the demo-sites in English).
I will add a screenshot.
Thank you for getting back to us. I have installed both demos in my discover-wp test site:
1. For “Getting Started with Toolset” site = I also can’t see consultant post type in it, I am not sure if it was removed intentionally in recent time or what’s the actual reason. But I can check on that.
2. For “Travel Destinations” site = I installed it and the language stays to English for this and I see now issue in this one.
I have created a new discover-wp account for you that you can use, I have installed Travel Destination demo and its set as English language already: hidden link
Please use this login info to access: hidden link
[ login info removed ]
Once you are logged-in, feel free to change the email and password for this account so that it belongs to you only then.
Please let me know if it works for you now. Thank you
Sorry, after a half day trying and studying, I can't make out how to make the link to editing one's own profile-page. So I think the consutant post type in the 'Getting started' site is the best example.
Since you said: 1. For “Getting Started with Toolset” site = I also can’t see consultant post type in it, I am not sure if it was removed intentionally in recent time or what’s the actual reason. But I can check on that.
I have now escalated this issue to our 2nd tier support for further review & possibly updating the broken page on the Reference site and we will get back to you.
Our team informed me that Consultant post type is removed on purpose. As that Reference site is used as part of a tutorial where it guides client on how to create this post type themselves.
Additional notes from our doc team:
“ The Getting Started reference site is to accompany the tutorial, not for any other purpose.
It is designed to require as little effort as possible from the user. When they register the CPT with slug consultant then sample consultant posts magically appear, they are already in the database, so they can move straight on to designing templates etc without having to create test posts to display. “
I hope it makes sense and you are now able to create Consultants CPT and use it without any issue. Please try it and let me know if you need more help in adding this post type. Thank you
