[Resolved] In a WP archive the search box is displayed at the bottom and my footer breaks

This support ticket is created 7 years, 8 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I expected to see: the search box at the left as the default behavior

Instead, I got: the search box at the bottom, and also my footer breaks.

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

I tried to take a look at this but i'm getting a 404 from the link.

What I recommend that you do is to check your view and see if there are any divs that are not closed as this could be the source of the issue.

The work on the site is done and now it's available for taking a look at this issue.
I did check as you suggested for unbalanced divs; there was indeed a missing opening div, but fixing that didn't solve the issue; so I reverted that change for you to have a look.
By the way the name of the archive is Course Catalog.

How is this search added to the page, It doesn't seem to be generated by our Types plugin.

It seems like a its a yith search bar. I would recommend contacting YITH support . Does the page load normally when the search bar is removed ?

Unfortunately updating the Toolset plugins did not fix the issue.

The problem occurs with the product categories.

I disabled the YITH search but the page breaks. Please check the footer and compare with other pages (ie. hidden link

Thank you for the clarity.

It seems that the issue is that you don't have a custom archive created for these categories.

What I recommend that you do is to create a custom archive layout for these and it should resolve your issue.

At some point the archive was not assigned to be used for product categories but it was used anyway.
In some place I saw a warning stating that the theme we are using is not integrated with Layouts. Could that be the problem? Should we follow the steps for the integration?
