This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
I would like to start using WooCommerce to sell products, because of inventory control, multiple images, etc.
Is there a way to use the woocommerce features to make the site more robust, friendly, manageable, etc

Solution:
Yes you can use WooCommerce and move your existing products into the WooCommerce. The steps would be as follows:

1. Install & activate WooCommerce.
2. Re-add products manually into WooCommerce products post type, for better stability and to avoid issues. And add your product images, price, etc.
3. Till here you will have the standard WooCommerce Shop page and product pages.

4. Optional: after that if you would like to display it using Toolset, you can use Views, and WooCommerce Views plugin to display data anywhere you would like to show:

For automatically transferring your existing post type products into WooCommerce products, you can also use a plugin like “Convert Post Types” to convert your existing post types to be used as WooCommerce products:

I have built a site with a few one to many relationships, it works great, and as planned.
I have artists, pieces, exhibits, venues. I can sell pieces from their pages using a simple paypal plugin.

I would like to start using woo commerce to sell products, because of inventory control, multiple images, etc..

Is there a way to use the woocommerce features to make the site more robust, friendly, manageable, etc...

Hi Kelly,

Thank you for contacting Toolset support. Yes you can use WooCommerce and move your existing products into the WooCommerce. The steps would be as follows:

For automatically transferring your existing post type products into WooCommerce products, you can also use a plugin like “Convert Post Types” to convert your existing post types to be used as WooCommerce products:

The manual products transfer method is safe (re-adding products manually into WooCommerce) and I recommend that.

Thank you

Can I add the relationships to the woocommerce products though?

i.e. A piece belongs to an artist and an exhibit. Can a product belong to a custom post type(Artist and Exhibit)?

Update: I added product as a child of a custom post type, let me see if I can build those relationships correctly.

That worked for me. Thanks for the help.
