Hello,

I created custom fields and assign to a custom post type.

When I created a view search I can view the post types but when clickin on them I cannot see the custom fields of the post.

hidden link

password: 123

1- How can I show the custom fields inside each post?

2- Also, how can I set the max number of caracters on the grid view (hidden link) for the excerpt for example and on the description on the post itself?

Thanks

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I am not sure how you are building your custom search view using legacy view or block view.

1- How can I show the custom fields inside each post?
===>
If you are using the block view, please check the following tutorial:
=> https://toolset.com/2020/03/helping-visitors-find-what-they-need-using-custom-searches/
=> https://toolset.com/2019/12/learn-how-to-build-templates-archives-and-views-with-blocks/

If you are using a legacy view to build a custom search, you can check the following doc:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/front-page-filters/

Basically you need to add your custom fields to loop editor section to display with your every loop iteration.

2- Also, how can I set the max number of caracters on the grid view (hidden link) for the excerpt for example and on the description on the post itself?
===>
You can use the [wpv-post-excerpt] shortcode to display the restricted number of characters.

For example:

[wpv-post-excerpt length="30" count="word" more=" - ..."]

More info:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/views-shortcodes/#wpv-post-excerpt

Hi, Thanks for the help, but I guess you missunderstood me.

Inside the post-iself, for example: hidden link

How can I show the custom fields. I have few custom fields assigned to this post, which are not appearing on the content when viewing the post.

Thanks

Regarding the second question it also refers to the post itself not to the search view.

Thanks

You should create a content template to display your custom fields and design it as per your need.

Please check the following Doc for more info:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/create-templates-to-display-custom-posts/

Please check the following video: hidden link
