This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
how to delete content templates "Loop item in [view name]"?

Solution:
That content template will be removed from that list once you fully delete the related View which is currently Trashed.

You can fully remove the View in Views > Views > Trash.

I am trying to: Delete content templates

I visited this URL:

I expected to see: only the content templates I'm using and have kept, and not the ones I've deleted

Instead, I got: content templates and "loop item in..... view" that won't go away even though I trashed the view.

I apologize the delay here

To delete "loop item in..... view" Content Templates you need to Trash AND Delete the related View
The Views trashed are still available (just like WordPress Posts). So after Trashing them, click on "Trash" in the Views List and "delete permanently"

This will also remove the "loop item in..... view" Content Templates form the List of Content Templates.

Same goes for Content Templates you created manually

If you Trash them, you will need to fully (permanently) Delete them so they will also disappear from the List of Templates in the Types > Custom Fields screens.

Please let me know if you have further questions regarding the issue mentioned in this Thread

Thank you for your patience.
