How can we set the datepicker t show French dates instead of EN>

#398390

I assume you mean the Month and Day of Week Names.

Are you using a Translation Plugin, or is your WordPress simply and only installed in French?

If you use a French WordPress instal the JS Library already will call the Translation correctly.

If you use a Translated Website with WPML as example, make sure to have followed this instructions:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-to-translate-date-with-wpml/#post-340180

Thank you

Sorry if I was not clear:

Right now our calendar formatting for date picker is set to: (DDMMYYYY) which is the default setting. Since we are building multi lingual site(s) for this project we have requirements to to set the dates to YYYYMMDD ( for EN site) and AAAAMMJJ ( for FR site).

We also need to make sure that when user is using manual date/time setup in input field that is associated to DatePicker(please check associated screenshot) that the both formats are working properly. Thank very much.

1. The Default setting for Dates in the Date Field is inherited from WordPress > General Settings.

2. Whatever setting you have in the General Setting > Date Format is used in the backend and Front End (unless differently set) for this Field

3. You can modify the format in the Front End with the ShortCode "format" argument
https://toolset.com/documentation/customizing-sites-using-php/functions/#date

4. If you use WPML you will be able what to do with that Field's values when translating your content:
- Translation preferences
"Choose what to do when translating content with this field:"
-- Do nothing
-- Copy from original
-- Translate

Do you use WPML?

I also contacted our CRED DEV for insight in the situation when using this on CRED forms.

Hi Beda, we have not solved problem yet and our manager is asking if we can have call (preferably with CRED dev and you) where we can share the screen with you guys (with webex).
We can do that tomorrow (Wednesday) any time between 10AM and 4:30 pm EST.

Please let me know if that works for you guys.
Thanks.

I'm sorry about the long reply time

I can't support the issue by other channels then this Support forum
https://toolset.com/toolset-support-policy/

I can offer to have a look at the issue with our CRED DEV if you can provide:

1. A Site's snapshot
2. Exact steps where we can see the problems and who you translate your website

I would need a sites snapshot if possible.
We usually recommend the free Plugin "Duplicator" for this porpoise.

If you already know how Duplicator works
(http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/),
please skip the following steps and just send me the installer file and the zipped package you downloaded.

★ Duplicator Instructions

Send me both files (you probably want to use DropBox, Google Drive, or similar services, as the snapshot file will be quite big)

❌ IMPORTANT ❌
Remember to create or keep an admin account for me before creating the snapshot, or I won't be able to login. You may delete the new admin account once the snapshot has been built.

I will enable your next answer as private so you can provide me the information securely.

Thank you
