[Resolved] Error when uploading Layouts: “Are you sure you want to do this?”

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: When I try to upload the Layouts plugin from wp-admin, I'm shown an error message:

Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again

I've tried multiple times but cannot get it to upload.

Solution: Try uploading the plugin using your hosts's Control Panel. Some hosting platforms restrict the size of uploads from the front-end of your website, but you can bypass those restrictions in the Control Panel.

I am trying to: Upload Layouts Plugin

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: Successdul upload

Instead, I got:error message, "Are you sure you want to do this?" I've tried deactivating all other plugins and trying with the same result. The only plug in I didn't deactivate is Visual Composer WP bakery. Is this the problem? Do you have a work around? Thanks

Hi, there's usually no conflict like this between Visual Composer (or now Page Builder as it's called) and Layouts, so I suspect something else is going on.
- It may be a conflict with your theme. As a test, temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and retest. If the error is resolved, then there may be a conflict we need to investigate with this theme.
- Layouts is fairly large, so there could be a problem uploading the zip file. If your host offers a File Manager on your server, you may be able to upload the zip file directly to /wp-content/plugins and expand it from your server's Control Panel.
- If you're not sure about your host's Control Panel File Manager, then you could expand the zip file on your desktop and use FTP to upload the "layouts" folder to your server in the directory wp-content/plugins/. This might take a while, but it would bypass any errors in the wp-admin plugin upload process.

Let me know how it goes.

Hey Christian,

Thanks for that advice! I was able to upload it through the Cpanel and all is good.

Thanks again,

Christine
