Excerpt with read more tag

I am trying to have manual excerpt by using  tag. So in the article list it only display text before the  tag.

Correct me if i'm wrong but  tag is a default format for a "Read More" tag, right ? how to make view make use of it ?

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Is it that you have added the  tag to the post content itself and trying to display a small excerpt of the post?

Or are you using this tag in the excerpt custom field of wordpress.

Please let me know so I can have a better idea of the context under which it is being used.
