Hi guys,
Four items:
1.) Change from PCF area - I wanted to change the custom field name (field, slug, label, etc.) and realized that I'm not able to do so from the PCF area - only the Custom Fields area?
hidden link
2.) Multiple/simultaneous Edits - I wanted to open up multiple fields (and/or field groups) to quickly make edits rather than 1-by-1 at a time.
When I tried this in the Post Control Fields or the Custom Fields area, it wasn't possible. Could I put in a request to consider making it easier to bulk edit items?
3.) Slug Generation (dash to underscores) - Right now, I believe Types defaults to using dashes for the field/slugs. Is there a way to default it to using underscores?
4.) Delete Field option directly in Custom Field Group - hidden link
Thank you!
Hello,
Q1) Change from PCF area
You are right, it is not change the field settings in the "Post Field Control" page, you will need to edit each custom field in the Field Group, if you agree, we can take it as a feature request.
Q2) Multiple/simultaneous Edits
Same as above, it is not possible in the "Post Field Control" page, if you agree, we can take it as a feature request.
Q3) Slug Generation (dash to underscores)
I assume we are talking about the custom field created with Types plugin,
Types plugin will prepend "wpcf-" before the field slug, for example if your custom field is using slug "my-field", in the database, the column "meta_key" value is "wpcf-my-field".
Same as above, not such a built-in feature, if you agree, we can take it as a feature request.
Q4) Delete Field option directly in Custom Field Group
I assume you are going to delete custom field values of each post too, same as above not such a built-in feature, we can take it as a feature request, our developers will evaluate it.
Hi Luo,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I expect these would be very useful Usability and UX improvements. Will you put them in for feature requests?
Thank you,
I have forwarded your request to Beda, he manages the feature requests, our developers will evaluate them, but I am not sure when will it be implemented, I suggest you subscribe to our blog to get the updated news.
