[Closed] Dynamic links not working on all custom field

This support ticket is created 3 years, 7 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I have made 4 custom fields for Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn url.

These custom field are used on a page where i load the images with a dynamic link.

In my opinion they are all setup the same way but only LinkedIn link is working. Can't find out what's wrong.

Hi Hans,

Thank you for getting in touch.

From what I see on the page only the linkedIn one has the URL added as you.

Can you double check with the post itself to see if the post actually has these values in the fields that its getting the dynamic links from.

Only the linkedIn is being wrapped in an anchor tag.

Please let me know and we can take it from there.

I also checked the code myself when i discovered the issue. And checked the url's. But they are filled in (see attachment).

I'm running some tests on my end, can you let me know if you are using the social share block? See Screenshot

If not then which block are you using?

From my testing the social share block loads the URL's from the dynamic source for each of my social media options.

Hi Hans,

I've replicated the issue on my end and created an escalated thread for our 2nd tier supporters to have a look at it.

Secondly as a workaround you can try using our Social Share block in order to get this working while we await a response from our 2nd tier.

I've checked on the escalated thread for you and unfortunately there hasn't been any updates on this as yet.

It is really taking to much time to het an answer to this issue, it has ban over 1,5 month since you escalated the issue.
Ik really need this fixed for my client.

Hi Hans,

The main reason why this hasn't been fixed yes is because it depends on a few parent issues that are slated to be fixed for version 1.4.2 of Blocks.

We have asked the development team to see if they can fast track this, however right now they are trying for version 1.4.

Regrettably I cant give a timeline as to when this release will be made but I will keep you updated as the process goes along.
