Is there a way to make a queue of contents and set a start and end date and time for each item in the queue? We could display a series of posts, one after the other, as a means of building expectation in a period preceding an event. All posts have the same post type and all of them would be displayed in the same way, in the same place.
is it possible? Perhaps with CRED conditions or something?

Dear gabor,

If you are going to display setup them in front-end, you can try this:
1) create a CRED form to edit the post of your custom post type, use it to edit the start and end time fields
2) create a view to list the "series of posts", insert above CRED form into view's content, in the dialog window "Choose which form to insert" , click "Show advanced options" link, enable option "Insert the form itself"
see the screenshot:

Then use above view to display as the "queue of content"
