Is it possible to use a format like %year%/%monthnum% for the permalink url on a custom post type? I've tried the string as I would write it for the site-wide permalink in WordPress and the variables aren't resolved. Is there another format that works? In this instance I'd like to be able to use a format of %postname% for all posts except one type which will have the year and month in the url. Thanks!

Hi Trygve,

It is not possible within Types, Types only support static string in the permalink url, you can set it by edit your custom post type:
Use a custom URL format-> Optional. Prepend posts with this slug - defaults to post type's name.

And you can try other user's solution, like this one:

Sorry I didn't close this. I'll try what that link suggests. Thanks for the help.
