This is the community support forum for Types plugin, which is part of Toolset. Toolset is a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients and people who registered for Types community support can post in it.

I am trying to find a quicker way to set up CPTs and post fields. Is there somewhere that I can get some sort of import file for common CPTs, like porterties, products, etc.?

I am not sure what you mean, but if you have a CSV file, you can use this approach:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/how-to-import-content-into-wordpress-using-csv/

If you look for sort of "blueprints", you might want to have a look at our Frameworks:
http://discover-wp.com/
They can be imported with our Framework Installer Plugin.

The Modules Manager is also a great way to kickstart your project:
