Tell us what you are trying to do?
Two questions please:

1/ I need to disable editing of the post for unauthorised users and my thoughts are
a/ conditioning of the use wpv-post-edit-link if user is NOT a privileged one
b/ enable two single post views

I don't want "Permission denied" for unauthorized user if possible.
Non-authorised users will see the only READ contents of selected or all fields of the post.

2/ I have CPT "Project" that will require Admin's approval to be published.
There is a field "project_status" available only to Admin who will select from the Radio group values "opened/suspended/closed".
E.g when they change post from Pending to Published, they set project_status=opened or even "suspended"

When a user creates the post, they should not see the field at all (field is hidden).

When users view published posts, they will see selected fields (e.g. post title, contents) AND "also project_status".

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your page?
hidden link

Thank you
Peter

Dear Peter,

Q1) I suggest you try the shortcode [toolset_access] ... [/toolset_access] to display different content for different user role, see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/access-control-texts-inside-page-content/

Q2) Same as above you can use Toolset Access plugin to control the access to custom fields, see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/access-control-for-user-fields/

You can download Toolset Access plugin here:
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/
