[Resolved] Commercial Tab for wordpress plugin disappears

This support ticket is created 5 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi, after I upgrade my types to 2.3, and views to 2.6, layouts to 2.2, the commercial tab on the wordpress plugin disappears.

I downloaded the types 3.0 file, and uploaded to my site, it said the installation failed. Please enlighten me. Thank You.

Hi Engedi,

Not sure what happening here since toolset 2.3 is the free version and you're a lifetime customer so you should get the 3.0 update.

Would you mind providing me with admin and ftp access to the site so that I can update this for you ?

Hi Engedi,

We are actually aware of this issue and will be providing a fix in Type 2.3.1

This will restore the commercial tab as well as allow you to update to version 3.0 of types. In the meantime you can manually install 3.0 by going to the downloads page below.
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/

Then upload the plugin manually to your site.

Hi Shane, thank you for your reply. Maybe u did not read my question properly. I have downloaded the types 3.0 and uploaded it to my site, it just fails to install becos the existing types 2.3.

I am worried if i delete types 2.3, all my existing post types will also disappear. Should I not worry?

Hi Endegi,

What you can do is to upload the Types plugin using FTP to the wp-content/plugins folder overwriting the existing Types plugin.

With this there shouldn't be any data loss .
