I'm trying to clone a view layout using Toolset Blocks (that has a search/sorting facility) - so that this view can be assigned to another post type.

What is the best way to do this? As adding the view to a new page is set so I can't edit it, and cloning the page with the view on and switching the post type affects the original view feed.

The View you are trying to clone was made with Blocks or the classic Views editor?

If it was made with Blocks you can go to a new page and use the View block, choosing the existing View to insert, and then from the resulting dialog (screenshot) specify that you want to edit a copy of the View rather than the original View.

Any changes you make (such as the content selection) won't affect the original View.
