I am trying to:
stop admin-ajax.php from being called multiple times

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
1. click hidden link
2. then click on pager #5

I expected to see:
admin-ajax.php called once.

Instead, I got:
hidden link

Hello, in the current system ajax is called for each page of the View that gets preloaded or precached. You can minimize the number of simultaneous calls by turning off preloading for upcoming pages of the View. Unfortunately there isn't a way to consolidate those calls at the moment, so turning off preloading is the easiest solution. Preloading settings can be found in Pagination and Slider settings Advanced Options.
