I have a (add content) Post Form with expiration set at 12 weeks from publication date. I created a test post 3 days ago and the expiry date is 03/01/2018. I've cloned this post form and changed the clone to edit content. When I tested it on the frontend today, the expiry date has changed to 06/01/2018 (3 days later than the original).

I understood that both the add content and edit content versions of post forms needed to have 'set expiration' checked. Have I misunderstood this? Does it only need to be on the add content version?

The expiry date needs to be based on the original publication date not whenever the post content is subsequently amended.

Please advise. Thanks

I've been giving this a bit more thought and unchecked the set expiration box on the edit content version of the form. I'm now able to amend the post contents without changing the expiration date,
