[Resolved] Cant get archive to show correct posts

This support ticket is created 7 years, 10 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

I have createt an views wordpress archive for a CPT ("news_" is the slug) , so far so fine.
hidden link xxx -.com/news_/

everything is shown correctly. but if i try to filter it with url like :
hidden link xxx -.com/news_/2012/09

it just shows a nothing found page?!

Any suggestions?

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

Let me see how best can explain this for you.

Creating a post archive only works on base archive slug, in you case it would be /news . However adding the /2012/09 essentially is a query which would further filter for these posts.

Unfortunately you are not able to do it like this because the archive is only available on the base slug. However Parametric search is coming to the posts archive so you will be able to filter your archives soon.
