Can not see Visual Composer button when designing Template Layout

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: I am trying to use Visual Composer to design inside a Template Layout editor, but I cannot see the button described in your video here:

Solution: The video linked here shows how to use Visual Composer in a Content Template, rather than a Layout. If you would like to use Visual Composer to design a template for use in Layouts, the process is:
1. Create a new Content Template and use Visual Composer to build your design
2. Create a new Layout and insert a Content Template cell. Select the Content Template you designed in step 1.
3. Assign the Layout to your post type, archive, or page as desired.

In this video tutorial, you can see visual composer button when designing the layout template.
I am using the total theme with the latest visual composer but can not see the VC button when open the layout?

Sorry, i forgot to put the video link i mentioned above .. here it is:

Also, if i create a new page then use the visual composer text block module and insert fields and View and try to preview the page there is nothing in there...

And, if i click the CRED forms button nothing happen although i have one form created and i used it and is working fine

Hi, the video shows how to use the Visual Composer button in a Content Template, but you mentioned designing a Layout. In order to use Visual Composer and Layouts together effectively, the process will be:
1. Create a new Content Template and design it using Visual Composer, as shown in the video
2. Insert a Content Template cell in your existing Layout, and select the Content Template you already created.
3. Apply the Layout to a post type or archive as desired.

There is currently not a way to use Visual Composer directly inside the Layout editor, so you must use the Content Template editor instead to access the Visual Composer tools. Please let me know if this is unclear, and I'll take another look.

I know now how to do that but let me tell you something ...
This video is very confusing. and if you look at it from the time 55:00 you will see what I mean.

The Tutor went directly to the toolset dashboard and said "let's create a template then he clicked on Create a template which anyone watches the video will do the same thing which is not the right way to do it and he should mention creating Content Template first by showing it.

I think you guys should remover this video and update it with a clear non-confusing one.
