I have used Toolset to create custom fields, Views and Layouts to create a searchable Archive (basically a custom directory).

Now I realise that I have no idea how to put my directory into the WP menu - I'm still a WP newbie. It is not available in the standard menu settings.

Please advise.

You can use the WordPress menu manager to readily add individual pages and posts, but "virtual pages" such as a custom post archive need to be added as a Custom Link.

If you are not sure of the url just visit the page you want to add to the menu and then copy and paste the URL into the menu Custom Link.

In the screenshot I am adding a link to my Movies CPT archive page...
