[Resolved] Activating Layouts crashes the site (503 server error)

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: When I activate Layouts it crashes the site with a 503 error.

Solution: In this case it looks like there was a missing directory in the active theme directory. Replacing the directory should resolve the problem.

Hi, I can see that some Layouts were exported into this directory:
/wp-content/themes/toolset-starter-child/theme-dd-layouts

However, the Layouts were not imported, and the dd-layouts-cells directory does not exist. So the child theme is throwing errors because it expects to find the dd-layouts-cells folder inside the theme directory. Did you maintain a copy of the dd-layouts-cells directory? If so, upload it to /wp-content/themes/toolset-starter-child. If you did not keep a copy, here's what I would do:
- Temporarily deactivate Toolset Starter and Toolset Starter Child themes by logging in with FTP and changing the folder names.
- Temporarily activate Twenty Seventeen theme
- Activate Layouts, then go to Toolset > Import > Layouts tab, and import the Layouts ddl files one by one, or zip them up into one archive and import the entire zip archive.
- Then revert the name of the Toolset Starter and Toolset Starter Child theme directories
- Then reactivate Toolset Starter Child theme
