Hi there,

I think Access conflicts with FacetWP. Both work fine when the other is disabled. However, with Access activated, FacetWP stops filtering.

For example, using FacetWP's own demo just to explain: hidden link

Here, what we expect to happen is that:
(A) we select a filter on the right, eg. 'Acura (4)', thus the filters adjust ad the URL changes.
(B) the content on the left changes (filters) so that we only see four cars by Acura.

What happens with Access activated (in my case) is that (A) happens, but (B) does not. I suspect this could be related to javascript/jquery but I'm not sure.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our support forum.

In order to find out what is wrong I will need to see a preview on the frontend of your website.

Could you provide me with a link to view this?

Thanks

Thanks Shane,

Here's the page with the filter. You'll see that the filter is working as expected, as Access is now deactivated.
hidden link

Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for providing me with a link.

I need to perform some tests on your website in order to check what exactly is causing the issue.

For this I will need a duplicate of your website.

You can use the plugin below to provide me with a duplicate of your website. What you can do is to upload the duplicator files to Dropbox or Google Drive and share the link with me.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks, I think I will be able to do this for you next week, however, naturally I won't want to share the site publicly on this forum. Do you have an email address I can use instead?

Many thanks,

Hello,

That is fine.

What I can do is to activate the private fields for you.

Just let me know when you are ready for the fields and i'll enable them.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane, if you could enable the fields that'd be great.

Hello,

Thanks I was able to setup the duplicate of the website.

I'll do a bit of investigation to see if there can be something that can be done about this.

Once I have an update i'll post it to you.

Thanks,
Shane

Hello,

Could you let me know how I would be able to get to the backend.

I tried adding the wp-admin extension as well as the wp-long.php extension to my link and neither of the two works.

Could you let me know the correct path to the dashboard.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,

Thanks for progressing this. If you could reopen private fields for me, I can provide login credentials.

Thanks!

Hello,

I was able to test this out with our types plugin active.

Unfortunately the filter behaves the exact same with and without our types plugin active. See Screenshot

Is there a specific use case you can advise that will allow me to replicate this problem?

Thanks,
Shane

Thank you Shane, I think somewhere along the line a software update must have resolved this, as it seems to be okay for me too. I'm sorry to have taken so much of your time. Many thanks!

Hello again Shane,

I'm afraid I was too hasty to close the thread:
the problem is apparent in Safari at hidden link. If you attempt to filter by say, Burundi (3), the list of posts on the left do not change.

Thanks for looking into this,
