I am trying to: Find my posts of a custom post type
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: I woudl prefer to send this in a private message
I expected to see: My custom post type in the left-hand WordPress admin menu
Instead, I got: It's missing
I have a custom post type called "Retreats". On the front-end, a view is currently displaying a correct list of Retreats, yes that custom post type (and obviously all of those individual retreats) seem to have dissapeared from the admin.
When i look at the View that displays these retreats, it indicated that the custom post type is missing—even though on the front end, it is displaying the correct posts.
I am not sure when this happened (i.e. after what update of any plugins or WP) but i know that they were there a few weeks ago.
Dear katrina,
Thanks for the details, I can login your website, but the user "Toolset" is not a administrator user, so I can not see how do you setup the custom post type "Retreats", if you are using Access plugin, you can setup the Access Control for post type "Retreats", see our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/setting-access-control/

If you need more assistance for it, please provide a valid administrator user account. I can setup a demo for you.
Hi Lou,
how can i privately send you new login details?
OK, I enabled the " private detail box", please provide the credentials in it. thanks
Thanks for the details, here is what I found in your website:
1) There isn't custom post type "retreats" in your website, it might be deleted by mistake.
2) so I simply create new post type "retreats" here:

3) then I can see all existed "retreats" posts here:

You can setup the custom post type "retreats" as you needed by follow our document:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/create-a-custom-post-type/
Hi Luo, so you simply recreated the seemingly deleted "Retreats" custom post type, and all the retreats re-appeared. How strange.
Well, Thank you! 🙂
