Types plugin support in Toolset forum

Types is a WordPress plugin that lets you quickly create custom post types, taxonomies and fields in your website through the WordPress admin screen instead of adding PHP code to your theme. Types User Guides include detailed documentation for setting up your custom content. When you ask for help or report issues, make sure to tell us the versions of the Toolset plugins that you have installed and activated.

Child post missing dropdown to select parent after updating Types plugin Started by: manuelA-2 in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: The parent Select Field in a given Child Post Edit screen is not available. What can I do, if I am sure, the parent Post type actually holds some posts? Solution: 1. Head to Types > Post Types > your_custom_post_type > edit and ensure the Relationships is correctly set. 2. Save the Post Type again 3. Check your Product Edit Screen. If now you can not see the Parent posts to choose, please follow: 1. List all products, check them all, choose "Edit" from the bulk edit mode, hit apply and save them, without editing any. 2. Do the same with the parent Post Type If now still it does not work, check if the issue also persists with a WordPress Default Theme and NO Plugins BUT the Toolset Plugins? If not, could you then re-enable the Plugins one after the other, and check the issue each time you enable a plugin? Please report us when the issue comes back It might also be due to the Theme. Please do reactivate your Theme only after you are sure the issue isn't coming from a 3rd Party Plugin. CSV importer no longer working Started by: Hai in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: The problem being stated here is that the CSV importer plugin no longer works and has to use an alternative importer. The customer wanted to know how can they include the featured image and custom taxonomy to import with this csv. Solution: The plugin used was the really simple csv importer. To import the featured image with the post the column for the images in the csv must be named "post_thumbnail" For custom taxonomies the column name should be in the format tax_{taxonomy} where you replace taxonomy with the slug of your custom taxonomy. So if you have a taxonomy called Product Category with a slug product_category then the column would be tax_product_category. Custom Taxonomy archive not displaying Started by: thomasJ in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: Custom post type "Stegeso tilbud" is using rewrite rule: custom URL format "opskrifter", custom taxonomy "Opskrift typer" is using rewrite rule: custom URL format "opskrifter/stegeso", They are both using same string "opskrifter", So the archive page of taxonomy show 404 error. Solution: Normally, when you assign taxonomy to post type it will display taxonomy menu item under the post type. 1) To debug such things you should start with activating WP_DEBUG from wp-config.php file and check for possible errors. 2) Check PHP, WordPress versions and PHP/Apache server configurations. custom image fields not cropping images anymore Started by: Johan Marneweck in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: The issue being described here is that for image custom fields the resize="crop" and height ="50" parameters do not work. Solution: The customer was able to resolve this by enabling the "php-mbstring" PHP module on their server. Adding additional form inputs to existing built-in theme custom post type form Started by: tylerR-3 in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: I have a theme that comes with a Custom Post Type. Can I enrich this Post type with Fields created by Types, and add CRED Forms for this Post type? Solution: 1. This is theoretically possible but depends on how your Theme registers the Custom post Type for the Real estates. You would use Types to create a Custom Field (or more) and populate this Field with your content after assigning it to the Post Type of your theme 2. Then with CRED, You would create a Form (to create new) your theme's post type which if auto generated would include the fields automatically. 3. If your Current Theme is using Fields as well, it might be necessary to add them first to CRED Control 4. It then also comes to the question, how you display all this. Are you using Views for it? Otherwise, you will need to probably custom code your templates. Mixing Post Fields and User fields in a CRED Form Started by: EricP9341 in: Toolset Professional Support Quick solution available Problem: The essence of this thread is that the user is trying to add a user field to the Post creation form. When doing this the user gets the message "There is a problem with vendor-paypal-accoun field. Please check CRED form." Solution: The reason for this is that a user field is meant for a user form and not for a post form. Hence on the posts the custom field "vendor-paypal-accoun" would not be present. Whenever you are adding a field shortcode to a CRED form thats does not have a corresponding custom field you will always get the message "There is a problem ...
