The post status updates and the client receives a confirmation email.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are the setup and configuration instructions from within the WordPress admin. You will learn how to can create forms that include payment, as in the example above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-setting-up-payments-with-toolset-forms-commerce\">Setting Up Payments with Toolset Forms Commerce<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong> uses WooCommerce for product setup and payment processing. This way, you enjoy a wide range of payment options, reporting and statistics tools for your form payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using a fully featured e-commerce plugin for payment processing may seem like a big hassle, but in practice the setup is very simple. We\u2019ll show you exactly what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First thing you need to do is download and install the <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/woocommerce\/\">WooCommerce<\/a> plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-1-basic-woocommerce-configuration\">Basic WooCommerce Configuration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you activate WooCommerce, it offers you to create the store pages. You should accept this and let WooCommerce create its pages. Have a look and see what other settings you may find useful. For <strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong>, just choosing a currency will be fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-2-adding-products\">Adding Products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we need to setup WooCommerce products. When visitors submit forms, <strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong> will send them to &#8220;buy&#8221; a product. For example, if you\u2019re creating a classifieds ad site and want to charge payment for a &#8220;featured ad&#8221;, you should go to <strong>Products<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Add product<\/strong> and create a new &#8220;Featured Ad&#8221; product. The name doesn\u2019t really matter. If it makes sense, you can enter other product attributes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re all done in WooCommerce. We\u2019ve created a product, which we can use in Toolset Forms Commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-connecting-products-to-forms\">Connecting Products to Forms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that we have the products, we can add them to our Toolset forms. We\u2019re assuming that you have already created your forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven\u2019t done so already, now would be a great time to install and activate <strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edit a <strong>Toolset form<\/strong> and scroll to the bottom. To choose this option, select <strong>Always this product, regardless of form inputs<\/strong>. Then, select the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forms can also require different payment amounts. For example, if you want to offer several ad options (normal, bold, super-featured), you can set this up using the <strong>The form specifies the product according to the value of this custom field<\/strong>&nbsp;option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, you should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create a custom field for your custom post type. This can be a custom <strong>Select <\/strong>of <strong>Radio <\/strong>field created using Toolset. You can\u2019t use a Generic Forms Field. The <strong>Custom field content<\/strong> you set for the field\u2019s options must correspond with the Product IDs you want to offer as a choice. You can see an example of this in the following image.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\" tb-image tb-image-media aligncenter\" data-toolset-blocks-image=\"72f56463cfbe04a368c10c0c506e1d75\"><a href=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/toolset-custom-field-product-selection.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/toolset-custom-field-product-selection-500x372.png\" alt=\"Setting up a custom field with values that correspond to the related Product IDs\" class=\"wp-image-1371251\"\/><\/a><div class=\"tb-image-caption\"><figcaption>Setting up a custom field with values that correspond to the related Product IDs<\/figcaption><\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li>Use that custom field for payment in a form that creates or edits posts of your custom post type.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-2-checkout-process\">Checkout process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally, you would want to ask for payment immediately when submitting a form. For this, select the <strong>Clear the cart and include only the selected product<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WooCommerce uses a cart to hold selected products and Toolset Forms Commerce ads the product to the cart automatically. When you choose to clear the cart, the result will be that visitors will need to pay only for the selected product, regardless of what they had in the cart before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can&#8217;t create multiple posts in the same order and have the status for those posts updated when the order changes status. For the post status update you must clear the cart for which you will need to use custom coding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are creating a complete e-commerce site, you might want to leave the items in the cart and only add the new product for this form. For this, select <strong>Leave the cart content and add the selected product<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember to also select what to do after submitting forms. In most cases, it makes sense to send the client to the checkout page. If additional review of the cart is needed, you can also send them to the cart page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-what-happens-when-payments-complete\">What Happens when Payments Complete<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Toolset monitors the status of the payment for this form. You can change it to any other status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the post status options is &#8220;No change&#8221;. You can select that option if the post status should remain the same for each of the purchase-status updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-2-setting-the-post-author-when-payment-completes\">Setting the post author when payment completes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After payments complete, WooCommerce will create an account for the client (if not logged in already). The account details are taken from the payment information, so you don\u2019t need to create new fields for that purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can tell <strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong> to set that user as the author of the created post. This way, users will see the posts (ads, properties, etc.) as &#8220;their&#8221; posts. You will be able to easily list the posts that belong to each user and allow them to edit or delete them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-3-notifications\">Notifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toolset Forms Commerce<\/strong> ads more notification options to the form.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\" tb-image tb-image-media aligncenter\" data-toolset-blocks-image=\"c5462168514e47dbf0e70b4f835f0b09\"><a href=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/cred-commerce-notifications-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/toolset.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/cred-commerce-notifications-1-500x413.png\" alt=\"Toolset Forms Commerce notifications\" class=\"wp-image-1065727\"\/><\/a><div class=\"tb-image-caption\"><figcaption>Notification options coming from Toolset Forms Commerce<\/figcaption><\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The notification on form submission changes to notification for going to checkout. This means that you have the customer details available to send the notification.<\/li><li>A new option is added, to notify when payment status updates. When you select this option, you can choose on what purchase status to notify.<\/li><li>You can send the notification to the billing address of the customer. This is the email entered in the WooCommerce checkout page, before going to payment.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You can add fields for your product and customer directly into your notification subject or body text.
